This song has taken me 30 years to make!!! YES!!! 30 YEARS!!!

Questa canzone ci ha voluto 30 anni per fare! SI! 30 ANNI!

When I was a little girl, my parents brought me to Mrs. Anderson’s house every Wednesday for piano lessons. She had a lovely home in the city and my parents faithfully brought me each week for years! By age of 13 I was in grade 5 Royal Conservatory of Music and played at many recitals and weddings.

Quando ero una bambina, i miei genitori mi portarono a casa della signora Anderson ogni Mercoledì per le lezioni di pianoforte. Aveva una bella casa in città ei miei genitori mi ha portato fedelmente ogni settimana per anni! All'età di 13 anni ero in grado 5 Royal Conservatory of Music e suonato in molti recital e matrimoni.

In 1984 I moved to Italy and did not play piano all year. However, to be quite honest, after all the years of piano lessons, I lost my interested for a bit. Hey, I was in Italy, who wants to play the piano anyway? But when I returned back to Toronto a year later, I was so happy to see my beautiful piano again. My dad bought me the piano for $700 back in the 70’s. I missed it soooo much!

Nel 1984 mi sono trasferito in Italia e non ho suonato il piano per tutto l'anno. Tuttavia, per essere onesti, dopo tutti gli anni di lezioni di piano, ho perso il mio interesse per un po '. Ehi, ero in Italia, chi vuole suonare il pianoforte? Ma quando sono tornato di nuovo a Toronto un anno dopo, ero così felice di vedere di nuovo il mio bel pianoforte. Mio padre mi ha comprato il pianoforte per 700 dollari canadese negli anni '70. Mi ha mancato veramente tanto!

Immediately, I got back into music and my love for playing the piano returned. When I started high school at Madonna, I joined the choir. I loved choir and met some wonderful girls, many whom are still my friends today. As grade nine progressed, I remembered telling my brother Jan that I was interested in purchasing a keyboard. A Yamaha DX7 is exactly what I wanted. I worked at my brother Luch’s pizzeria to save $1000, so I could purchase my keyboard. Well, I saved $200 by Christmas 1986, and then I got the biggest surprise of my life!

Immediatamente, sono tornato alla musica e il mio amore per suonare il pianoforte e tornato. Quando ho iniziato il liceo a Madonna, mi sono unito al coro. Ho amato coro e incontrato alcune ragazze meravigliose, molti quali sono ancora i miei amici oggi. Come grado nove progrediva, mi sono ricordato dicendo a mio fratello Gennarino che ero interessato all'acquisto di una piano elettrico. Un Yamaha DX7 è esattamente quello che volevo. Ho lavorato in pizzeria di mio fratello Luciano per risparmiare 1.000 dollari, così ho potuto comprare il mio pianoforte electrica. Beh, ho risparmiato 200 dollari entro Natale 1986, e poi ho avuto la sorpresa più grande della mia vita!

Underneath the Christmas tree, was a present for me, that I had to actually wrap myself. It was a very small box. Secretly, I thought it was a key for a car…but when I opened it up, it was a coin and a note saying: your gift is a keyboard!!!

Sotto l'albero di Natale, è stato un regalo per me, che ho dovuto davvero impacchettare me stesso. E 'stata una piccola scatola. Segretamente, ho pensato che fosse una chiave per una macchina ... ma quando ho aperto, era una moneta e una nota dicendo: il vostro regalo è un piano forte electrico!

Well, I just screeeeamed hysterically and jumped up and down for at least 5 minutes!!! I couldn’t believe that I finally got a keyboard. Thanx to my family who all contributed lots of money for my keyboard. You can never top that one!!!

Beh, ho appena gridato istericamente e saltai su e giù per almeno 5 minuti! Non potevo credere che finalmente ho un piano forte electrica. Grazie alla mia famiglia che hanno contribuito un sacco di soldi per il pianoforte electrico. Non si può mai fare una meglio regalo!

That Boxing Day, Jan and I went to Steve’s downtown to buy my Yamaha DX7. I spent many years in my bedroom with that keyboard. Record player on one side of the room, and the keyboards on the other side.

Quel giorno di Santo Stefano, Gennarino ed io siamo andati al centro di “Steve’s” di comprare il mio Yamaha DX7. Ho trascorso molti anni nella mia camera da letto con quello pianoforte electrico. Giradischi su un lato della camera, e il piano sull'altro lato.

One year later I joined a rock glam cover band and played at a bar at Bathurst and Bloor called Ildico's. I was so excited to play Ozzy Osborne’s song, Mr. Crowley and Nobody’s Fool by Cinderella. I had the time of my life!

Un anno dopo sono entrato in un gruppo rock copertina glam e giocato in un bar a Bathurst e Bloor chiamato Ildico’s. Ero così entusiasta di giocare la canzone di Ozzy Osborne, Mr. Crowley e Nobody’s Fool di Cinderella. Bei tempi!

After high school, at age 19, I decided to become Miss Professional and trained to become a Real Estate Agent. I thought I was too old to create a song. I did not do much in my 20’s musically, as I was working all the time, but was still heavily into the music scene. In my 30’s, I decided to get back in the swing of things. I bought a lot of music equipment that I couldn’t use. I tried and tried, but got fed up after months of getting no where. For a while, I had a friend who taught me how to record. It wasn’t perfect, but it was a start. I saved all my work on discs that I still listen to it today.

Dopo il liceo, a 19 anni, ho deciso di diventare Miss Professional e addestrato per diventare un agente immobiliare. Pensavo di essere troppo vecchio per creare una canzone. Non ho fatto molto nei miei anni 20 musicalmente, come stavo lavorando tutto il tempo, ma era ancora pesantemente nella scena musicale. Nei miei anni 30, ho deciso di tornare nella musica. Ho comprato un sacco di materiale musicale che non ho potuto usare. Ho provato e riprovato, ma stufo dopo mesi di ottenere nessun dove. Per un po ', avevo un amico che mi ha insegnato ad usare tutto il studio. Non era perfetto, ma era un inizio. Ho salvato tutto il mio lavoro sui dischi che ascolto ancora oggi.

When I reached age 35, I got pregnant and needed to change the music studio to a nursery. Well there goes that idea for a while! Lol Now that brings me to 2011. The year that really changed my life. After having 3 children, I found myself so very happy yet so very scarred as I knew that I was going to fight the scariest battle in my life. Cancer. I developed cancer during my last pregnancy and was told that I would not make it. My fear was more on my children than for me as I had 3 under 4! All I could think about was that my job here on earth was not done. I truly believed that despite the worst news, I could beat this disease. As I was lying on the hospital bed for days, I had time to think and think, and think, and I promised myself that I will finish all that I had to do. I had nothing to loose at this point. The one dream I had in my life was to create an album. Something I can be proud of. I never did create a real song, and it sadden me. I’ve always wanted to do but never did.

Quando ho raggiunto i 35 anni , sono rimasta incinta e avevo bisogno di cambiare il studio musicale ad un stanza per bambino. Beh, l'idea per un po ' se ne va ! Lol Ora mi porta al 2011 . L'anno che davvero cambiato la mia vita . Dopo aver tre figli , mi sono trovato molto felice eppure così sfregiato perché sapevo che stavo per combattere la battaglia più spaventosa della mia vita . Cancro. Ho sviluppato il cancro durante la mia ultima gravidanza e mi hanno detto che io non l'avrei fatta. La mia paura era più sui miei figli che per me, come ho avuto 3 in 4 anni! Tutto quello che riuscivo a pensare era che il mio lavoro qui sulla terra non è stato fatto. Ho veramente creduto che, nonostante la notizia peggiore, potrei battere questa malattia. Mentre stavo sdraiato sul letto d'ospedale per giorni , ho avuto il tempo per pensare e pensare , e pensare , e mi sono promesso che finirò tutto quello che dovevo fare . Non avevo nulla da perdere a questo punto. L'unico sogno che ho fatto nella mia vita era quello di creare un album. Qualcosa che posso essere orgoglioso. Non ho mai fatto creare una vera canzone , e questo mi rattrista . Ho sempre voluto fare, ma non ha mai fatto .

Now, as most of you know, I love my rock music. The Beatles and Bon Jovi are my favorite rockers and I also love Duran Duran, Gwen Stefani, and Britney Spears. I initially wanted to write a slow song, however, ended up making it a dance song. I’ve always wanted to make a dance song, and this was my chance.

Ora, come molti di voi sapete, io amo la mia musica rock. I Beatles e Bon Jovi sono i miei rockers preferiti e mi piace anche Duran Duran, Gwen Stefani e Britney Spears. Inizialmente ho voluto scrivere una canzone lenta, però, finito per fare una canzone dance. Ho sempre voluto fare una canzone dance, e questa è stata la mia occasione.

So I decided to start on a totally new song. I met up with Colin Hudson and discussed my dilemma. I had all this equipment from 2000 and it’s all obsolete!

Così ho deciso di iniziare in una cansone totalmente nuovo. Ho incontrato Colin Hudson e discusso la mia problema. Ho avuto tutte queste attrezzature dal 2000 ed è tutto obsoleto!

We went from my music equipment to his music equipment. It was great! We co wrote the song together.

Siamo andati dalla mia attrezzatura musicale al suo attrezzatura musicale. È stato fantastico! Abbiamo scritto la canzone insieme.

I later added some extra spice to the song, and finished the project with Jeff Edin at Studio 8 here in Toronto.

Dopo ho aggiunto qualche spezia in più alla canzone, e finito il progetto con Jeff Edin a Studio 8 qui a Toronto.

Getting ready to see my favorite live artist Jon Bon Jovi. I’ve been his fan since 1986 and went to many of his concerts. My make-up is by our company roseberries and I’ve applied it like my niece Rose Russo (rosebud143 on you tube) taught me. After speaking with my friends, I’ve decided to wear my flat boots, great for jumping and dancing. Now that was the best choice ever!!!

Tutto pronto a vedere il mio preferito viva artista Jon Bon Jovi. Sono stato un suo fan dal 1986 e sono andata a molti dei suoi concerti. Il mio make-up è di roseberries la nostra azienda e l'ho applicato come mia nipota Rosa Russo (rosebud143 su you tube) mi ha insegnato. Dopo aver parlato con i miei amici, ho deciso di indossare i miei stivali piatti, ideale per saltare e ballare. E’ stata la scelta migliore!
